Dr. Barsky is on the staff of and has lectured to numerous hospitals including the following - Elmhurst, Good Samaritan, Westlake, Gottlieb, and Hinsdale. Gary Jay Barsky, M.D. has been showcased on numerous cable stations as well as Channel 2 News (CBS), at which time he was featured with Dr. Terri Hamilton on the 10:00 news for three nights in a row. Dr. Barsky did a laser eyelid surgery on the air the first night, laser resurfacing and fat transplantation the second night, and a laser hair transplantation the third night. Dr. Barsky has received training on laser surgery at Harvard University Medical School.

Dr. Barsky's skills were also demonstrated on Channel 5 (NBC), involving his meticulous removal of permanent makeup as well as tattoo removal. The doctor has been repeatedly featured performing live liposuction on the air. Dr. Barsky is the first cosmetic surgery facility in the State of Illinois and the fifth in the entire country to receive this accreditation, recognizing excellence in surgical care. Dr. Barsky was chosen as the premier examiner for the American Academy of Laser Surgery. He also recently taught laser eyelids and laser resurfacing to over 100 surgeons throughout the country via satellite, and provided a hands on work station for the American Academy of Laser Surgery. His out-patient surgical facility was used for the major annual meeting of the American Academy of Laser Surgery.

Dr. Barsky is also a member of the American Society of MOH's Surgery, and is associated with the Laser Foundation and International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons out of Los Angeles. He serves as a lecturer on the comparative history of dermabrasion, chemical peels and laser resurfacing as well as the psychology of both the patient and the physician on laser resurfacing.
